Sensex Ends at 35,350 With 142 Points, Nifty Reclaims 10,700-Mark

With strong signals from the global market, the stock market rose high on the second trading day this week. On Tuesday, the Sensex opened with a gain of 142 points. At the same time, the Nifty also started on the green mark with a rise of 42 points.

On Tuesday, the Sensex opened on 35,350 up 142 points. The Nifty head higher with 42 points. With this index crossed the figure of 10700 and opened at 10,758 level.

The BSE index closed at an over three-month high of 35,208.14, while the NSE index recaptured the 10,700-mark as investors piled into recently-battered metal, energy, realty and banking stocks amid firm global cues.

Fresh buying by domestic institutional investors added to the momentum.

The Sensex surged 292.76 points or 0.84 per cent to 35,208.14 and the Nifty climbed 97.25 points or 0.92 per cent to 10,715.50.

Initially, all sectoral indices including bank and auto are gaining fast. On the Nifty 50, the shares of ICICI Bank, Yes Bank are gaining more. In addition, Lupin and Cipla are also Sensex gainers.
