Scotland has became the first ever country in the world to make sanitary products like the pads or tampons free of cost for its citizens.
Members of the Scottish Parliament unanimously passed The Period Products (Free Provision)(Scotland) Act on Tuesday which makes it legally mandatory for all public institutions to provide period products.
Reportedly, the bill was passed unanimously, and First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon called it “an important policy for women and girls.
