Nagaland launches livelihood generation scheme for returning migrant workers

Nagaland government has launched a livelihood generation scheme for migrant workers who returned to the state due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The initiative is funded by the North Eastern Council (NEC), which is the Central government’s nodal agency for economic and social development of the Northeastern region.

The NEC has provided the state government with an initial fund of Rs 2.4 crore.
