Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally at Udupi, Karnataka on Tuesday. PM Modi said in his speech, ”We are Kaamdaars. What is our level that we can sit with people like the Congress president, who look down on us?” He target Rahul Gandhi calling him a “Naamdaar” and challenging him to speak for 15 minutes without any paper, and in any language. He also accused the Congress president Rahul Gandhi of insulting the former prime minister HD Deve Gowda.
The Prime Minister said, ”Whenever he came to Delhi and asked for my time, I met him. Not only that, when he comes home, I go out and open his car door and welcome him. And when he leaves, I drop him till the door of his car and ensure that he sits in it. In terms of politics, our views are opposite but one has to respect senior leaders.”
There might be political differences between parties but civility & respect should be maintained. Whenever former PM Deve Gowda Ji visits me in Delhi I always welcome him with respect & always give him time. PM says, “In 4 years, the Congress party could only electrify 2 villages. This is their record. We believe in democracy and democratic ideals. If an opposition party has to say something, we will always think about it.”
”Our government will leave no stone unturned to fulfill aspirations of people of Karnataka and ensure all round development of the state,” says PM Modi.
I will not let your hard work go in vain, I will return this love in the form of development, says PM Modi in Udupi.
In Karnataka there is no law, there is no order. The Lokayukta is not safe, how can the common people be safe, says PM Modi.
Later in the day, he also addressed a rally at Chikkodi in Belagavi.
”Farmer welfare is a priority for us. We brought the soil health cards, ensured MSP at 1.5 times of input cost, implemented the Fasal Bima Yojana,” said PM Modi.
”I’m fighting against corruption and black money and I need your help. Under Yeddyurappa’s leadership, vote for a BJP-majority government,” said PM Modi.
