ISRO to create Moon craters near Bengaluru

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will create artificial moon craters in Ullarthi Kavalu, Challakere, some 215km from Bengaluru, later this year.

The craters, would be 10 metres in diametre and have 3-metre depth.

The craters are meant to simulate the lunar surface on which Chandrayaan-3 lander would land.
