Indian Railways has recently brought in an innovation to the design of the side lower berth to enhance the passenger comfort.
The railways has introduced a cushioned side-board which can be placed on the lower berth covering the uneven gap between two lower felled seats.
The innovation appears to have been added in the AC Two Tier LHB coach as evident by the reading lamp – a feature of that class.
