Indian Army Inducts first batch of women in Military Police

Indian Army inducted the first ever batch of 83 women soldiers into the Corps of Military Police Centre and School (CMP C&S) at the Dronacharya Parade Ground in Bengaluru.

With a surge in cases during the COVID-19 second wave, the attestation parade was a low-key affair.

The army is the only one to induct women as non-commissioned officers. The commandant of CMP C&S applauded the women soldiers for their exemplary performance at the parade.
