India and Mauritius on Monday signed a free trade agreement that will make the African island nation a hub for Indian investments in the region.
India has also extended a $100-million line of credit to fund purchases of defence equipment to the country.
The agreements were announced following visiting external affairs minister S Jaishankar’s meetings with Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth and foreign minister Alan Ganoo.
