India extends $1 bn for priority projects in Central Asian countries

India government on Wednesday announced an additional $ 1 billion Line of Credit for Central Asian countries to widen connectivity and energy partnerships.

The announcement on financial assistance was made by India during the second meeting of the India-Central Asia Dialogue on Wednesday.

The virtual meeting was chaired by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and it was attended by his counterparts from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
