The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to take up the matter of possible expansion of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament from present size of eight teams to ten teams in its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The inclusion of two new teams would translate into 34 more games in the next session of Indian Premiere league.
This comes as RP Sanjiv Goenka Group and Adani Group are said to have evinced interest in owning a franchise in the tournament.
