Aamir Khan Completed 30 Years In Film Industry, Attend A Special Screening Of His Debut Film

30 years ago, Aamir Khan made his debut with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Aamir, along with the cast and crew of the film, hosted a get-together to celebrate the film’s 30-year mark. On this celebration, Aamir reveals that he was critical of his work in the film and unhappy with his performance in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. The entire team of the film and family join the get-together.

Apart from the crewmembers present at the celebrations, Aamir’s first wife, Reena Datta, was also present and so was Aamir’s younger brother, Faisal Khan. Actors Viju Khote, Raj Zutshi, Shehzad Khan, and Dalip Tahil were among others who made it for the event.

The romantic-drama, released on April 29, 1988, was a modern-day take on the classic tragic love story Romeo and Juliet. The film featured Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla and went on to become one of the biggest hits.

“It does not feel that it is 30 years. But we are meeting after such a long time and I am watching the film after three decades,” exclaimed Mr. Perfectionist.

Aamir said, “We could re-shoot now if we want,” the actor joked. “I was very raw and in some scenes I fumbled through. I thought people would not like my work after watching the film. I don’t know how people liked me. It was just my luck, I think.”

“I cannot believe 30 years later that people still want to watch it,” director Mansoor Khan said at the event, which was followed by a screening of the Romeo and Juliet inspired tragedy.

In a special screening Aamir revealed that he was unhappy with his performance in the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.

As the film completes 30 years, Udit Narayan and Aamir Khan took a trip down the memory lane and sang the iconic song, ‘Ae Mere Humsafar’ from the film.

In 1988, Aamir Khan started his film career with the film Qayamat to Qayamat Tak. Having played a romantic role in the film, Aamir instantly touched hearts with his first film and chemistry with Juhi Chawla won a lot of hearts. After this film, Aamir has been labelled as a ‘Chocolate Boy’. The film not only turned out to be a super hit at the box office but also one of the most loved films of the times.
